SourcePoint, a vital nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of adults over 55 in Delaware County, is inviting applications for its board of directors for terms starting in 2025. This initiative reflects SourcePoint’s commitment to ensuring robust governance and community involvement in its mission to support older adults and their caregivers.

Comprehensive Service and Support

SourcePoint is known for its extensive range of services tailored to adults aged 55 and better. The organization provides in-home care services, alongside various community programs aimed at enhancing health and wellness. These services are crucial for both the elderly and their family caregivers, offering professional expertise and support designed to foster an independent, enriched life post-retirement.

Role and Responsibilities of the Board

The volunteer board of directors at SourcePoint plays a pivotal role in steering the organization towards its goals. Responsibilities of the board members include strategic planning, policy development, resource allocation, financial oversight, and evaluating the performance of the chief executive officer. These duties ensure that SourcePoint adheres closely to its mission and operates efficiently and effectively.

Board members convene six to eight times per year, typically at noon on the last Wednesday of the month at SourcePoint’s Cheshire Road headquarters. To accommodate various schedules and enhance participation, the organization will continue to offer a hybrid meeting option with a virtual attendance choice in 2025. Members are also expected to serve on at least two board committees and participate in key organizational events, including fundraising activities.

Call for Diverse Leadership

In an effort to mirror the diverse community it serves, SourcePoint is seeking a wide range of candidates to join its board. Adults of any age are encouraged to apply, offering a chance for both seasoned and emerging leaders to make a significant impact. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in guiding a dynamic organization that is pivotal to the growing older population in the region.

How to Apply

Those interested in contributing their expertise and leadership can apply for a board position by visiting the SourcePoint board application page or by calling 740-363-6677 for more information. The deadline for applications is Friday, July 12.
