The Ohio Department of Public Safety and the Ohio Highway Patrol have requested Controlling Board approval of the Ohio Office of Management and Budget for the release of funds for improvements to four dispatch centers, including the one in Delaware.

According to the submission, dispatch centers around the state are aging and require renovations and improvements to provide upgraded workstations and furniture. The workstations are used twenty four (24) hours a day for dispatching functions, a task that is a critical for the operations of the State Highway Patrol. These improvements will provide updated dispatch equipment, furnishings, and renovations to improve the efficiency and operational effectiveness of dispatch centers in Lebanon, Delaware, Bowling Green, and Canton.

The capital funds under request total $198,592.

The meeting will take place on March 25 at 1:30 PM in the North Hearing Room of the Statehouse Senate Office Building.
