Starting January 6, the Wornstaff Memorial Library in Ashley will host Bingocize®, a free, 10-week program that blends exercise, health education, and a bingo-style game to help participants stay active, healthy, and socially connected.

What Is Bingocize?

Bingocize is an innovative, evidence-based health program that creatively combines bingo with exercises and health education. Perfect for older adults, the program focuses on improving physical fitness, cognitive function, and social engagement.

Participants alternate between classic bingo activities and easy-to-follow exercises designed to improve strength, balance, and endurance—all tailored for various ability levels.

How the Program Works

  • Structure: Bingocize sessions run twice weekly for 10 weeks, each lasting 45-60 minutes.
  • Activities: Bingo numbers are called while participants perform exercises or engage in health-related discussions.
  • Focus Areas: Choose from three options:
    • Exercise Only
    • Falls Prevention
    • Nutrition Education
  • Format: Sessions can be held in person or remotely, with exercises adaptable for sitting or standing.
  • Leadership: Trained facilitators guide the program, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for all participants.
