Main Street Delaware is gearing up for a festive Halloween celebration with the final Farmers’ Market of the season, featuring trick-or-treating, costumes, candy, and a free movie screening of “Casper” at the historic Strand Theatre. Here’s what you need to know about this fun-filled community event.

A Spooky Good Time at the Farmers’ Market

On October 26, 2024, downtown Delaware will transform into a Halloween haven for families and children. Attendees are encouraged to don their best Halloween costumes and join in on the trick-or-treat fun with all Farmers’ Market vendors and participating downtown businesses. This is the perfect opportunity for kids and adults alike to gather candy and enjoy the last market of the year.

Free Movie at the Strand Theatre

In addition to the market festivities, Main Street Delaware is hosting a free showing of the classic family-friendly film “Casper” at the Strand Theatre. Doors open at 9:00 AM, with the movie starting promptly at 9:30 AM. Costumes are highly encouraged, and concessions will be available for purchase. This is a wonderful chance for families to kickstart their Halloween celebration with a beloved spooky movie in one of the area’s most iconic venues.

Reserve Your Spot

Tickets for the free movie can be reserved in advance through Main Street Delaware’s website. Early reservations are recommended as seats are limited. After the movie, trick-or-treating will continue throughout downtown Delaware, with various participating businesses joining the fun.
