On Tuesday, November 5 Westerville resident and art educator Janine Crum showcased her puzzle-solving prowess on the nationally acclaimed game show ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ Crum, who owns the Daylight Artist Collective located at 9 E. College Ave., not only demonstrated her linguistic agility but also shared a personal anecdote with host Ryan Seacrest about her near-audition for ‘American Idol.’

A Game-Changing Round

The competition began with all contestants closely matched. However, Crum seized a pivotal opportunity during the Express Round. By correctly solving the puzzle “Cherry Blossom Season,” she secured $5,950 and an all-expenses-paid trip to Japan valued at $13,498. With strategic letter selections and keen intuition, she successfully solved the final puzzle, adding an additional $40,000 to her winnings. By the episode’s conclusion, Crum’s total prize amounted to nearly $72,000, including the coveted trip to Japan.
