The costumes, food, and festivities of the past are making a trip forward in time on Saturday, June 4 for the Medieval Faire in Ostrander.
The event, sponsored by the Delaware County District Library’s Ostrander Branch, features all things from the Middle ages – horses, jousting, traditional craftsmen, costumes, a Medieval marketplace, and more.
Games can be played, which in former editions of the Faire has included castle building, catapults, and spear throwing. In-person demonstrators will be on hand to display crafts such as soapmaking, wool spinning, and a stone mason.
Music will be heard throughout the event and dressing up is encouraged so come in your medieval garb. New this year, visit a mermaid’s grotto, a dragon’s lair and Sherwood Forest.
The fun takes place at 75 North Fourth Street in Ostrander from 11 AM to 3 PM.
