The Ohio Department of Health has released the most recent numbers related to COVID-19 cases in Ohio’s school and long-term care facilities, as well as for the pace of vaccinations.

Not surprisingly, the age group leading the charge of vaccination in Ohio are in the 70 to 74 age bracket; some 71.28% of Ohioans in that category have had at least one vaccination.

Here are the numbers for Ohio and Delaware County:

VACCINATIONS (numbers released on Friday)

OHIO

  • Ohioans receiving a first vaccination in the last 24 hours – 89,380
  • Total number of Ohioans who have received at least one vaccination shot – 3,117,500
  • Percentage of Ohioans who have received at least one vaccination shot – 26.67%
  • Ohioans completing vaccinations in the last 24 hours – 52,119
  • Total number of Ohioans with completed vaccinations – 1,763,847
  • Percentage of Ohioans with completed vaccinations – 15.09%

DELAWARE COUNTY

  • Total number of Delaware Countians who have received at least one vaccination shot – 68,649
  • Percentage of Delaware Countians who have received at least one vaccination shot – 32.82%
  • Total number of Delaware Countians with completed vaccinations – 37,206
  • Percentage of Delaware Countians with completed vaccinations – 17.79%

DELAWARE COUNTY SCHOOLS (numbers released on Thursday)

  • Big Walnut – 3 students
  • Buckeye Valley – 1 student
  • DACC – 2 students
  • Olentangy Local – 13 students, 2 staff

DELAWARE COUNTY LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES (numbers released on Wednesday)

  • Arbors at Delaware – 2 residents, 10 staff
  • Capri Gardens – 1 staff
  • Country-View of Sunbury – 1 staff
