Olentangy Schools is inviting the community to a special evening on Thursday, September 18, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Olentangy High School. The event, called Bridging the Future, is designed to explore how education and industry can work hand in hand to prepare students for the rapidly changing job market in Central Ohio.
Keynote by Lt. Governor Jim Tressel
The night will feature a presentation by Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, who will share insights on Ohio’s economic and workforce trends. Data presented by One Columbus will help frame the discussion, pointing to where the region is headed and what skills students will need to thrive.
Connecting Education and Industry
The focus of the evening is how Olentangy Schools are creating real-world experiences that build access, awareness, and understanding of future career pathways. Attendees will hear how local schools are bridging the gap between classrooms and careers, offering students opportunities to connect learning with life after graduation.
Industry Partners on Site
After the presentation, participants can meet directly with industry partners from fields ranging from healthcare to technology to manufacturing. These partners will showcase career opportunities and pathways available now, giving students and families a first-hand look at possibilities close to home.
