United Way of Delaware County’s Supplies For Scholars has made an outstanding difference in Delaware County since it commenced operations in 2013.

The organization has focused its resources towards providing essential school supplies to K-12 students in the region. In just one decade, Supplies For Scholars has positively impacted over 14,000 students, ensuring they have the tools necessary to succeed in their academic pursuits.

Through the generous donations of our community, Supplies For Scholars has gathered over $400,000 since its inception. These funds are carefully managed and allocated to provide a broad spectrum of supplies that are filled in the book bags of students in need. The items include notebooks, pens, pencils, calculators, markers, binders, and more – the basic building blocks of a successful education.

This year brings in-person shopping events to be held at Willis Education Center. All interested parties are invited on July 27 between 4 PM and 6 PM, or on July 28 between 9 AM and 11 AM.

In addition, Supplies For Scholars will also be hosting several mobile distribution events to ensure that we reach as many students as possible. The first stop will be at the Ashley Wesleyan Church on July 25 from 10 AM to 12 PM. They will then visit Woodward Elementary on August 2 from 12 PM to 2 PM, Olentangy Administrative Offices on August 4 from 11 AM to 1 PM, and finally the Sunbury Community Library on August 5 from 11 AM to 1 PM.

We encourage parents or guardians to register their students for the Supplies for Scholars 2023 campaign. This is an incredible opportunity to provide your children with the necessary tools for the upcoming school year. Registering your student is as simple as clicking on the “REGISTER” link below.

If you are interested in supporting Supplies for Scholars beyond providing financial contributions, we have numerous volunteering opportunities available. Whether you have a few hours a week or a couple of days a month, your time will make a significant impact on our mission. Supplies for Scholars will also feature a Vaccine Clinic by the Delaware Public Health District. Details below.
