In a recent announcement on its Facebook page, the City of Delaware shared news that a new city website is on its way.

Expected to be live this Wednesday, the statement indicated that highlights of the new site will include more drop-down menus with links to services, project updates, license and permit applications, payment options, emergency preparedness, and more.

Also included will be an easy “services” option to request assistance, report a concern, or contact a City official. A better mobile experience will also be offered.

The URL (web address) will remain: delawareohio.net. Limited interruptions in access may be possible before Wednesday.

The last upgrade for the City’s online presence came six years ago. The oldest City of Delaware website included in the Internet Archive dates from June 8, 2002.

On that date, city news included the availability of 2001 income tax forms and questions about stormwater utility billing.

That 2002 website can be viewed here.
