Three Delaware Countians have been appointed to statewide positions by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

Meredith L. Reffey of Delaware has been appointed to the Governor’s Executive Workforce Board for a term beginning Dec. 1, 2022 and continuing at the pleasure of the governor.

The Governor’s Executive Workforce Board engages communities, state agencies, and stakeholders in Ohio to identify ways to prepare Ohioans with skills needed for in-demand jobs.

R. Sean Grayson of Powell has been reappointed to the Industrial Commission Nominating Council for a term beginning Dec. 7, 2022 and ending Oct. 20, 2026.

The Council consists of five employer representatives, four labor representatives, one representative from the Ohio association for justice, and two members of the public, each of a different political party, who are appointed by the governor. The nominating council makes recommendations to the governor for the appointment of members to the industrial commission as provided in section 4121.02 of the Revised Code.

Janet E. Foley Orosz of Powell has been reappointed to the Ohio Fair Plan Underwriting Association Board of Governors for a term beginning Dec. 7, 2022 and ending Sept. 18, 2024.

The plan of operation has been formulated for the purpose of making basic property and homeowners’ insurance coverage, as identified in section 3929.42 of the Revised Code, available for qualified property owned by persons who have been unable to secure such insurance in the normal insurance market.
