Delaware City Council will be considering a handful of items at its regular meeting on Monday evening.
As always, the meeting will take place at 7:00 PM in Council Chambers at City Hall, located at 1 S. Sandusky St. The public is invited to attend, and the meeting will also be streamed live on the city’s website.
The meeting will begin with staff introductions from the Public Works/Engineering department, including Project Engineers Eric Smith and Rachel Wolff. A presentation will the be made by Jonathan Owen, Deputy City Engineer, who will provide an update on the MORPC Technical Assistance Program “Safe Streets For All Safety Action Plan”.
The council will then move to the public hearing and second reading of Ordinance No. 23-42, which pertains to a Conditional Use Permit for G2G Self-Storage on property zoned B-3 (Community Business District) on approximately 7.681 acres located north of future Biltmore Drive and south of Bowtown Road. This will be followed by the second reading of Ordinance No. 23-43, which approves a Combined Preliminary and Final Development Plan for the same project.
Another public hearing and second reading will be held for Ordinance No. 23-44, which proposes changing the name of East Point Crossing to Public Works Drive.
The council will also consider Ordinance No. 23-46, which updates residency requirements for City of Delaware employees.
The meeting will conclude with the Finance Director’s report on the May 2023 Financial Report, the City Manager’s report, council comments, and finally, adjournment.
