Ebram Bostros, a franchisee of the Paris Baguette chain, has announced plans to open the first Columbus location in the Polaris area by the summer of 2024. This will be the first of “three or four” Paris Baguette locations that Bostros aims to establish in central Ohio.
The bakery chain, which originated in South Korea in 1986 and made its U.S. debut in 2005, is the largest in the country, edging out Tous Les Jours, which opened its first Columbus location last year.
Paris Baguette is renowned for its extensive menu that includes cakes and by-the-slice cake, fresh bread, pastries, sandwiches, salads, and a variety of coffee drinks. The brand has already garnered a global reputation for its freshly-baked croissants, delectable pastries, and lighter-than-air layer cakes.
As early as 2021, Paris Baguette had announced its intention to open as many as 20 bakeries in the Columbus area. Delaware County has been chosen as the location for the first outlet, signaling the brand’s commitment to expanding its footprint in central Ohio.
Paris Baguette already has a location in downtown Cincinnati, which has received a 4.0 rating based on 70 reviews on Yelp. Customers have praised the self-serve pastries, the variety of offerings including cronuts, plain croissants, spinach and ham quiche, and curry croquette. The bakery also offers both warm and cool sandwiches, adding to its appeal.
The bakery is open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM and offers both delivery and takeout options. The ambiance is described as having moderate noise levels, making it a suitable spot for casual meet-ups and quick bites.
