North Orange Aquatic Center is Open
The start of summer in Orange Township heralds the reopening of the North Orange Aquatic Center, a beloved local spot that attracts approximately 15,000 visitors each season. As the school year ends, families and friends flock to the Aquatic Center to enjoy the warm weather and refreshing pool. This year, memberships offer unlimited access until Labor Day, making it an ideal spot for residents to spend their summer days.
In addition to regular pool hours, the center will host special Night Swims with a DJ on June 7, July 19, and August 9. These events promise fun-filled evenings from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, adding a festive touch to the summer. Interested individuals can sign up online via the QR code provided on the township’s website or check for updates about food trucks on their Facebook page.
Bale Kenyon Road Update
Progress continues on the Bale Kenyon Road project, a crucial development for Orange Township’s infrastructure. Phase 1 of this three-phase project has been successfully completed. As we move into the summer months, residents can expect the commencement of utility work for Phase 2. Construction is anticipated to begin in late 2024, with the bulk of the work scheduled for 2025. This project aims to enhance road conditions and improve travel for the community.
Veterans Memorial
Significant strides have been made at the Veterans Memorial site, where recent installations include new flagpoles. The completion of this memorial has been a long-term goal for the township, and the finishing touches are now in sight. Ongoing landscaping and concrete work around the plaza are progressing well, with granite installation next on the agenda.
This memorial, a poignant place of remembrance, is expected to be completed this summer. A dedication ceremony will be announced soon, inviting the community to honor and celebrate this important addition to Orange Township.
