This spring’s heavy rains may have had an adverse impact on fish populations in local ponds. Water flowing through overflow pipes or emergency spillways could have washed small fish out of your pond. Purchase fish for restocking, or stocking a new pond at the Delaware Soil & Water Conservation District’s annual fish sale, which continues through September 28.

This is an annual sale for those who have a new pond and those who wish to restock an existing pond. Species include largemouth bass, bluegill, hybrid bluegill, channel catfish, shellcrackers, yellow perch, fathead minnows, and triploid white amur.

For those who purchase fish, pick up is scheduled for Thursday, October 3 from noon to 1 PM at the Delaware SWCD office, 557 Sunbury Road in Delaware.

A fish sale flyer and order form can be found here. More information is available at: 740.368.1921.
