Do you care passionately about the outdoors, nature, and animal life? Are you wanting to find an outlet for those interests somewhere close to home?

The Ohio Wildlife Center is looking for adult volunteers, and training sessions are avaialble in November for that purpose.

The Center wildlife hospital admits nearly 5,000 ill, injured, or orphaned animals per year, Caring for these animals is a serious task and their goal is to treat and release as many animals as possible. It takes compassionate, well trained team to care for these patients.

After attending a training session, new volunteers will be required to work with qualified mentors for a period of at least one month. New volunteers are encouraged to register for this training only when they can commit to 4 consecutive 2-4 hour weekly shifts in the month following the class date. Full acceptance into the Hospital’s volunteer program will be dependent on progress made during this introductory period.

A completed online volunteer application is required.

Email volunteerinfo@ohiowildlifecenter.org to reserve your place at this training session. The Hospital is at 2661 Billingsley Road in Columbus. The Center itself is located at 6131 Cook Road in Powell.
