As we continue expanding our coverage here at Delaware County’s first digital, independent, and locally-focused news site in the new year, we are continually working on new features.

We thought that we would share with you some of our plans for the next several weeks as 2021 begins.

We’re extremely excited about a new arts and events feature coming in the spring. More on that soon.

We will be continuing with our “Landmarks of Delaware County” and our “Delaware on the Map” series, each looking at additional aspects of the county’s past. These have recently been joined by “Delaware Roots,” a new series that will examine the lives of Delaware Countians, past and present, who have impacted regional, state, or national history in some way, and by “Mobile DelCo,” which looks at new websites and apps with strong mobile interfaces that can provide Delaware Countians with information and resources.

We have also launched a set of posts looking at aspects of Delaware County life that we either take for granted or which go largely unseen or underappreciated, called “Everything You Always Wanted To Know About…” While looking at geographical topics so far, we will soon be expanding this to include features on long-time Delaware County businesses, schools, and more.

As always, we welcome suggestions for items to cover, and also appreciate comments about the site. We’re extremely easy to contact at: 1808Delaware@gmail.com.

Thank you for being a reader!
