As you make your way along streets in the city of Delaware this week, its best to to pay attention.

The City of Delaware’s 2020 Street Resurfacing Project began on Monday. Several streets among the 169 total miles of paved thoroughfares will see work.

With the resurfacing, the top two inches of asphalt will be taken off and replaced.

This summer’s work will include: Albemarle Circle, Northhampton Court, Bridgeport Way, Halsted Court, Providence Lane, Landemere Court, Pinoak Court, Castleton Way, Paddock Court, and Belle Avenue.

West William Street from Toledo Street to Franklin Street will also see repairs to its permanent base.

Five weeks of work are required to complete the streets, and with the exception of Providence Lane, Pinoak Court, and Bridgeport Way, through traffic will be maintained.

For more information and questions, contact the City at: 740.203.1810.

At the same time, ODOT has plans to repave Central Avenue in Delaware from The Point to Troy Road. Work will begin on Wednesday and is scheduled to take place after 7 PM and before 6 AM daily.
