The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission is seeking public comments on the 2020 draft update to the Columbus Region’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS).

The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy serves as a blueprint for economic development across the region. It is supported by the existing body of regional plans and economic development strategies in the Columbus Region.

“In recent years, MORPC, One Columbus, and hundreds of other partners across the private and public sectors have aligned around regional economic development and growth strategies for the Columbus Region. The update we are seeking input on serves to lay out and focus those strategies,” said Ted Geer, MORPC Economic Development & Infrastructure Officer/

The 2020 CEDS draft document is available at morpc.org and can be accessed directly here.

Members of the public are encouraged to provide written comments on the draft document. Comments may be submitted by e-mail to tgeer@morpc.org or to Ted Geer, MORPC, 111 Liberty Street, Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43215. The deadline to submit feedback is 12 p.m. on Thursday, September 10.

The document will be submitted to the U.S. Economic Development Administration for adoption following the public comment period and upon endorsement of the CEDS by MORPC.
