In an announcement on its Facebook page earlier this month, the venerable Carfagna’s Market, a staple of the north side of Columbus since the early 1970s, announced that it is opening the new “Carfagna’s Famous Market & Ristorante” this coming spring.

The Dublin-Granville location will close as will the current Carfagna’s Kitchen on Polaris Parkway.

The new facility, which will include not only the current operations but also a deli, liquor shop, and expanded tasting venues will be located at 1440 Gemini Place in 27,000 square feet.

That location was formerly home to the Earth Fare Market, near to Hobby Lobby and the Polaris Costco.

According to the company website, the business began in 1937 by immigrant founder Saturnino Carfagna. First located in the Linden Area of Columbus, today grandsons Dino and Sam carry on the family tradition.

Views of the new Carfagna’s can be viewed below.

GET READY COLUMBUS. After many years of planning, we are pleased to announce plans for our next venture! We will be combining both our Market and Restaurant locations under one roof on Gemini Place in the dynamic Polaris shopping area. Opening Spring of 2021, the new Carfagna’s will be designed after an Italian piazza marketplace complete with a Gelateria, an Illy Café, Pizzeria, Bakery, Farmers Market and of course our award-winning Butcher’s shop. The new location will feature an expanded wine department with a State Liquor Agency. The restaurant’s menu will feature products made and sold at the adjacent market.
