A new chapter of growth is taking shape at the southeast corner of Polaris Parkway and Worthington Road in Westerville, where a proposed mixed-use development is set to bring fresh flavor—literally and figuratively—to the community.
Aldi to Anchor the Project
At the heart of the new development will be an Aldi grocery store, serving as the anchor tenant. According to site plans submitted by NP Limited Partnership, the single-story Aldi building will face Polaris Parkway, with customer parking located at the front. Known for its affordable, efficient shopping model, Aldi’s addition marks a strategic move to provide more grocery access to Westerville residents amid increasing residential and commercial expansion in the Polaris area.
Craft Beer and Culinary Choices on Tap
But this is no ordinary strip development. The proposal includes not just shopping, but also sipping and dining. Two restaurants are slated for the site, taking up approximately 10,000 square feet between them. Their identities remain under wraps for now, but the layout hints at sit-down or fast-casual formats that will complement the surrounding mix of retail and service offerings.
A craft brewery is also in the plans and is expected to be part of the first construction phase. With Central Ohio’s growing love of local beer, this brewery could become a lively neighborhood hangout, blending food, drink, and community vibes right off Polaris Parkway.
Retail and Service Spaces Round Out the Mix
Beyond groceries and gastropubs, the development includes spaces earmarked for retail and service-oriented businesses. While exact square footage and tenant details have yet to be disclosed, these additions aim to balance convenience with lifestyle, creating opportunities for local employment and entrepreneurial activity.
Momentum in the Polaris Corridor
This new project underscores the ongoing evolution of the Polaris area, which continues to emerge as one of Central Ohio’s busiest commercial corridors. From upscale shopping and entertainment to modern office parks and expanding neighborhoods, the area’s transformation reflects the region’s broader economic momentum.
Though much of the tenant roster is still a mystery, the groundwork is being laid for a vibrant new destination that combines essentials with experiences—all within walking distance of one another.
Construction timelines and opening dates have not been officially announced, but as of late July 2025, anticipation is already building for what’s to come.
