Exciting news, Delaware! The city is stepping up its recycling game by joining the Hefty ReNew Recycling Program, and it needs you to make it a success If you’ve spotted those vibrant orange bags at the store, now’s your chance to grab one and start recycling more than ever before.
🛍️ Get Your Free Hefty ReNew Bags
Thanks to a grant from the Delaware Knox Marion Morrow Solid Waste District, the City of Delaware is giving away free boxes of Hefty ReNew bags to the first 270 residents. That’s right—FREE! Just swing by the Public Works Department to pick up your box, and you’re all set to make a bigger impact on our planet.
- Where to Get Them: 440 E William St, Delaware, OH 43015
- Offer: One box per household—don’t miss out!
🌍 Why This Matters
We all know landfills are jam-packed with plastics that curbside programs can’t handle. But with the Hefty ReNew Program, Delaware is turning the tide. Your hard-to-recycle plastics can now be repurposed into new products, replacing coal in cement kilns or even transformed into building materials. Imagine the difference we can make together!
🚀 How to Get Started
Joining the program is super easy—just follow these steps:
- Collect your usual recyclables—no changes there.
- Fill your orange Hefty ReNew bag with items that typically get tossed, like plastic packaging, bags and wraps, foam products, and even plastic cutlery.
- Tie it up once it’s full, and drop it in your curbside recycling bin for pickup.
That’s it! To see the full list of items you can recycle, check out the print on your ReNew bag or visit HeftyReNew.com. It’s never been easier to keep useful plastics out of the landfill and give them a second life!
🙌 Let’s Make Delaware Greener Together
By participating in the Hefty ReNew Program, you’re doing more than just recycling—you’re helping create a cleaner, greener Delaware. It’s a small change with a BIG impact, and every filled bag counts. Let’s show everyone what our community can do!
