In a notice placed on its website, the Village of Ostrander announced this week that Larry Crile has resigned as Mayor.

Crile has served the Village for the past 15 years, 11 of which he served as Mayor. He is a decorated Vietnam veteran.

Personal reasons were cited as the reason for the resignation.

Council President Robert Taylor will finish out Crile’s term as Mayor. Bob has served on Village Council since 2008. Council will elect a new President at the next meeting and a new Council member will also be appointed. 

In the notice, it was stated that the Village thanks Mayor Crile “for his dedicated service in helping to keep the Village safe, thriving and debt-free.
