When the Ohio Department of Health released vaccination rate and total numbers on Friday, Delaware County’s vaccination numbers improved slightly.

In fact, over 50% have now received at least one shot of any of the approved COVID-19 vaccines, the only county in Ohio that can make that claim.

Ohio’s numbers stood as follows:

  • Received first shot – 4,517,359 or 38.65%
  • Completed vaccinations – 3.388,057 or 28.998%

Delaware County’s numbers stood as follows:

  • Received first shot – 105,596 or 50.65%
  • Completed vaccinations – 75,725 or 32.20%

Surrounding counties had the following vaccination rates:

  • Franklin 39.82%
  • Knox 29.58%
  • Licking 35.61%
  • Marion 32.25%
  • Morrow 28.10%
  • Union 40.46%

The highest rate in Ohio remains Delaware County’s 50.65%. The lowest remains Holmes County’s 12.91%.
