Details
- Date: August 17 | 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Location: Mingo Park Canoe Access 500 E. Lincoln Ave, Delaware, OH 43015
Participants will gather at the Mingo Park Canoe Access Point for a morning of environmental action. Volunteers will be provided with all necessary equipment, including:
- Trash grabbers
- Gloves
- Safety vests
- Trash bags
It’s essential to wear sturdy, close-toed shoes that can get wet. Flip flops and bare feet are not allowed for safety reasons. Volunteers should also wear clothes that can get wet or dirty, as you will be wading through the river to collect trash. Some areas might require you to walk through water, as walking on the riverbank is not always possible.
Safety Precautions
Walking through the Olentangy River can be challenging due to large, slippery rocks that are often difficult to see. To ensure everyone’s safety, waivers will be required for all participants. Please plan accordingly and take all necessary precautions.
Registration
To participate, please register through Eventbrite. The event is limited to 50 participants, so sign up early to secure your spot.
