If your New Year’s resolution is to get organized, your library life is a great place to start. The Delaware County District Library (DCDL) offers tools and tips to make managing your account and reading habits easier than ever.

Here are some helpful ways to stay on top of your library activities in 2025:

Download the DCDL App

The DCDL app is your all-in-one tool for managing your library experience. Add your entire family’s library cards to easily track checkouts, due dates, and holds. Beyond account management, the app lets you book study rooms, discover programs, and browse new releases. Download it today from Google Play or the App Store.

Get Email Receipts

Never lose track of your library activity again. With email receipts, you can receive an automatic record of all checkouts, renewals, and returns. If you don’t already have this feature enabled, you can request it when signing up for a card or by contacting your local branch. Existing cardholders can simply email or call their branch to activate email receipts.

Track Your Reading History

Ever struggle to remember if you’ve already read a book? DCDL has you covered. Activate the Borrowing History feature by logging into your account. Navigate to My Settings > Account Preferences > Borrowing History to enable this feature. While it won’t track past checkouts, it will log everything you borrow going forward.

Set Your Preferred Pickup Location

Holds are even easier with personalized pickup preferences. Log into your DCDL account, visit My Settings, and select Holds and Pickup Location to confirm or update your preferred branch. Need to change the location for a specific hold? Adjust it during the placement process for ultimate flexibility.

Stay Organized and Enjoy 2025

With these tools, keeping your library account organized has never been simpler. Take a few minutes to set up these features and enjoy a stress-free reading year. Whether you’re exploring new books, attending programs, or managing family accounts, DCDL has everything you need to keep your literary life in order.

Happy reading! 📚✨
