The Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship at Ohio Wesleyan University has selected nine students as the inaugural group of Westwood Real Estate and Community Development Fellows.
These include students from the 1808Delaware coverage area.
The competitive program, open to OWU students of all majors, prepares the students to become ethical, innovative leaders in real estate and community development, serving at the forefront of Central Ohio’s economic evolution.
Ohio Wesleyan’s 2026-2027 Westwood Fellows are:
- Jaden Addison of Kumasi, Ghana. Addison is an Economics and Finance major.
- Christian Begg of Powell, Ohio. Begg is an Accounting and Business Administration: Management major and a Music: Performance minor.
- Jera Hoy of Radnor, Ohio. Hoy is an Accounting major and an Entrepreneurship minor.
- Henry Isaacs of Amherst, Ohio. Isaacs is a Quantitative Economics and Data Analytics major.
- Kirsten Quinn of Ostrander, Ohio. Quinn plans to major in Quantitative Economics.
- Shane Slack of Lewis Center, Ohio. Slack is a Business Administration: Management major and an Economics minor.
- Jada Taylor of Columbus, Ohio. Taylor is a Management Economics major.
- Owen Tornow of Painesville, Ohio. Tornow is an Accounting major and a Finance minor.
- Wyatt Townsend of Manchester Center, Vermont. Townsend plans to major in Business Administration: Management.
As part of their fellowship, the students will compete in a real estate development competition, such as the Colvin Case Study Competition, which challenges participants to analyze and document innovative real-estate projects while testing their skills in market analysis, finance, design, and sustainability. OWU’s Westwood Fellows also will complete a relevant internship or externship, a relevant professional certification, or two related course offerings.
Ohio Wesleyan graduates Andy Warnock, Class of 2006, and Cole Antle, Class of 2021, created the Westwood Fellows Program with a seven-figure endowment, making them the youngest donors in OWU history to give at this level. The first-of-its-kind initiative is dedicated to producing graduates who are broadly educated in the liberal arts and specifically skilled in real estate, development, and community impact.
