This month, Ohio Weselyan University has published two feature posts that highlight work of two different university departments. Both stories are by OWU’s Cole Hatcher.

In “A Capitol Collection,” Hatcher shares informtiomn about OWU’s first-ever display at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, which was recently installed.

An effort of the OWU Natural Historic Museum, the exhibit by students and staff member Lisa Tabak is on display through June 19 in four display cases in the Map Room of the Statehouse.

The article can be accessed below.

Connecting Classwork and Career” is a story about a collaboration between Megan Ellis, Executive Director of the OWU Career Connection, and faculty led by Mary Anne Lewis, Ph.D., associate professor of Modern Foreign Languages and co-director of the Palmer Global Scholars Program, and centering on helping students articulate skills and land jobs.

According to Hatcher, “Their work is helping students and professors to see more clearly the connection between their academic coursework and the transferable career-ready skills that will serve them well in all aspects of their lives.”
