On Wednesday evening, the Village of Sunbury Council will hold a public hearing on the rezoning application of Sunbury Plaza Limited Partnership for a zoning change on 9.805 acres it owns on Miller Drive, near the northwest corner of State Route 3C and US36/37,  for a housing development.

The land in question is that left undeveloped behind the Inn at Walnut Creek.

The request is to rezone land currently classified as PCD-Planned Commercial District to PRD-Planned Residential District, in order to allow the construction of 36 “empty nester” houses. The development would have two entrances, one off of Miller Drive and the other to the south off of a private drive.

The matter was throughly discussed during a previous public hearing held by the Village’s Planning and Zoning Commission on October 28. The minutes from that meeting can be read here.

The Village Council meeting will be held Wednesday at 7:30 PM on the third floor of the Town Hall. All interested persons are invited to attend this public meeting and may testify.
