A proposed mixed use development at 1 Flax Street in Delaware is being planned, according to Columbus Business First.

The project, to be called The Mill on Flax, would transform a 159 year old former mill and factory structure into 3,000 square feet of residences and 5,000 square feet of commercial space.

The effort by RiverWest Partners is aimed at jumpstarting Delaware’s new Riverfront District, which has the Olentangy River at its western edge.

The Business First article can be read here.

The company is the same that announced plans to renovate and reuse the former Big Four Depot on the western edge of downtown Delaware as restaurant and office space. The Flax Street site can be seen here on Google Maps.
