Due to a shortage of bus drivers, Big Walnut Schools is making changes to its bus routes. The intermediate, middle, and high school routes will be combined, while most elementary routes will remain unchanged. However, there may be some adjustments made to a few elementary routes.

The new routes will start on Wednesday, February 1.

To facilitate this transition, the transportation module in PowerSchool is no longer available. As of Tuesday, the new times and stop locations are available in PowerSchool, but bus numbers will not yet be provided. Bus numbers for the new routes will be posted in PowerSchool this Friday.

Please note that all students in grades 5-12 will likely experience changes in their pickup times and locations.

The majority of elementary students’ times and locations will either remain the same or be similar to their existing times. Parents are encouraged to check the PowerSchool Parent Portal to confirm their student’s bus times and locations.

If you have any questions about this transition, please contact your student’s school or the transportation department at (740) 965-8967. Big Walnut Schools appreciates your patience and understanding during this necessary change.

More information and a set of frequently asked questions about the change can be found here.
