The Arts Castle, in conjunction with the Delaware Historical Society, is currently showcasing an enriching exhibit titled ‘Delaware’s History Through Architecture’. The exhibit will run through June 17 and is open for public viewing during The Castle hours, Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

The venue is located at 190 West Winter Street in Delaware.

This unique showcase offers visitors a chance to step back in time, bringing Delaware’s past to life through an incredible collection of antique postcards, images, photographs, documents, and objects that encapsulate the state’s rich history and diverse architecture. With a variety of architectural styles outlined and even 3D objects like pillars, iron fencing, decorative corbels, and more on display, this exhibit promises an immersive and educational experience.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore antique postcards that depict scenes from bygone eras, offering glimpses into the streets, businesses, and homes of times past. This exhibit serves as a testament to Delaware’s architectural evolution, effectively narrating the story of the state’s growth and development.

The Arts Castle has extended its gratitude to the Delaware County Historical Society for their collaboration on this exhibit, with special thanks to Executive Director Donna Meyer for her kind assistance in curating the show.

Following the ‘Delaware’s History Through Architecture’ exhibit, The Arts Castle, in collaboration with the Delaware County Library and Willow Brook, will be hosting the ‘Senior Showcase Exhibit’ from July 8 to October 7.

The Castle continues its tradition of promoting local arts and culture, providing a platform for educating and inspiring the community.
