The much-loved Touch-a-Truck event is making a comeback in Delaware County this Saturday, June 3.

Sponsored by the Delaware County Emergency Medical Services (DCEMS) Department, this free event will be held from 10 AM to 1 PM at Buckeye Valley High School, located at 901 Coover Road in Delaware.

In previous years, the event has attracted an estimated crowd of 2,500 people who came to see — and touch — a wide array of vehicles. From first-responder vehicles and construction equipment to commercial trucks, the Touch-a-Truck event offers a unique opportunity for everyone, especially children, to explore these vehicles up close and meet the people who operate them regularly1.

Not only will you get a chance to learn more about these vehicles, but you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to a noble cause. As part of the event, attendees are encouraged to bring donations of canned food items and box fans. These will be collected at the event by People In Need, Inc., of Delaware County, a local non-profit organization that provides emergency relief to families and individuals in need.

The Touch-a-Truck event is open to all ages, so whether you’re a kid or a kid at heart, there’s something for everyone. Come out and join the fun!
