1808Delaware has always been free to read. Now, we are making it easier for our stories to be shared more widely.

We have published new republishing guidelines for organizations, publications, newsletters, and community websites that would like to reuse eligible 1808Delaware stories with proper credit and a link back to the original article.

The goal is simple: useful local information should be able to reach more people, while still preserving clear attribution, context, and respect for original reporting.

Under the guidelines, many 1808Delaware stories may be republished, provided that 1808Delaware and the author are credited, original links are included, the story is not placed behind a paywall, and the content is not sold or used as part of a bulk content product. The new guidelines apply to eligible 1808Delaware stories published on or after July 1, 2026.
