Make A Difference Delawarae County provides an opportunity to people of ages to gather together in the county’s largest day of volunteering.

On Saturday, October 26, everyone has the power to join with the Connections Volunteer Center and do something that improves the lives of antoher, no matter who you are or your abilities.

Delaware County’s intergenerational Make A Difference Delaware County event is open to everyone.  It is the perfect occasion for individuals, families, and groups of all ages to volunteer together as a team.  Just one morning of volunteering truly makes a lasting difference.

On the fourth Saturday in October, hundreds of volunteers will gather, beginning at 8:00 AM at Camp Lazarus, or at Jessica Forman’s State Farm Insurance office in Sunbury, with a light breakfast and job assignments for the volunteers. Volunteers then go out at 9:00 AM to older adult’s homes and area non-profits to do outdoor chores or a special project.

Finally, volunteers then return to Camp Lazarus around noon to turn in their paperwork, grab a little lunch and talk about how much fun they had and how much it meant to the people they served.
