Old Man Winter makes an unwelcome return this evening through Thursday as a winter storm makes its way through the Buckeye State.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, this is the forecast for Wednesday night through Saturday:
- Wednesday Night — Rain and snow, becoming all rain after 10 PM. Low around 32. New snow accumulation from 1 to 2 inches. See map below.
- Thursday — Chance of rain or freezing rain before 11 AM, then rain and snow showers between 11 AM and 4 PM. Cloudy with a high of 35. Little to no additional snow accumulation.
- Thursday night — Cloudy, then partly cloudy with a low around 10.
- Friday — Slight chance of snow before 11 AM. Mostly sunny, with a high near 19. 20% chance of precipitation.
- Friday night — Mostly clear, low around 10.
- Saturday — Mostly clear, high near 35.
Because of the cold temperatures, the wonderful folks at Zion United Church of Christ will again be opening A Place of Warmth on Thursday and Friday evenings. This place of safety and escape from the cold is located at 51 West Central Avenue, at the corner of Franklin and Central.
