In an effort to put a face—and a voice—to the entrepreneurial spirit thriving in the heart of Delaware, the City of Delaware’s Economic Development Department has launched a new storytelling campaign titled Found in Delaware. Through vibrant, short-form video features, the campaign seeks to highlight the innovation, determination, and creativity powering the city’s locally grown businesses.

Shining the Spotlight

The inaugural video spotlights Homestretch Apparel, a clothing brand rooted in community values and built by passionate local owners. It’s the first of many stories designed to illustrate how Delaware businesses are not just places of commerce—but places of purpose.

The video can be viewed below and at this link.

“This campaign is about more than economic development,” said Nic Langford, Economic Development Director for the City of Delaware. “It’s about celebrating the stories of the people and ideas that make Delaware unique, and inspiring others to plant roots and grow here.”

Each installment of Found in Delaware will bring viewers inside a different homegrown business, introducing the people behind the scenes and exploring what makes each enterprise—and Delaware itself—special.

Economic Growth Through Community Connection

The series is more than just a media project. It’s part of a broader push to retain local businesses, support small business growth, and foster a sense of community pride in Delaware’s economic future.

New videos will be shared on the City of Delaware’s website, YouTube channel, and social media platforms, making it easy for residents—and those curious about doing business in the city—to connect with local stories.

How to Get Involved

Businesses interested in being featured in an upcoming video can reach out to the City’s Economic Development team at development@delawareohio.net or visit www.delawareohio.net/economicdevelopment for more information.

The debut video featuring Homestretch Apparel is now live and available for viewing online.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or a newcomer to town, there’s something inspiring to be found in Delaware—and this new series promises to show exactly what that is.
