Summer is nearing an end yet work continues on the region’s roadways. Below is information from the Ohio Department of Transportation for improvement and construction projects for Delaware and Franklin Counties during the coming week. As always, work is weather dependent.

DELAWARE
New Impacts
SR 315 Slip Repairs
- Chapman Rd. between Hyatts Rd. and U.S. 23 will close (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.) Monday, September 14.
- Detour: Hyatts Rd. to U.S. 23 or reverse.
- Taggert Rd. between Home Rd. and Hyatts Rd. will close (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.) Monday, September 14.
- Detour: Home Rd. to SR 315 to Hyatts Rd. or reverse.
SR 257 / Home Rd. Roundabout Repairs
- SR 257 southbound will close at the SR 257 / Home Rd. roundabout starting 7 a.m. Tuesday, September 15 through 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 16.
- Detour: Home Rd. westbound to SR 745 southbound to Glick Rd. eastbound to SR 257
- Home Rd. westbound will close at the SR 257 / Home Rd. roundabout starting 7 a.m. Tuesday, September 15 through 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 16.
- Detour: SR 267 northbound to U.S. 42 southbound to SR 745 southbound to Home Rd.
Continuing Impacts
Blue Church Rd. Culvert Replacement
- Blue Church Rd. north of SR 521 will close starting Monday, August 24th through Thursday, September 10th
- Detour: Blue Church Rd. to Kilbourne Rd. to SR 521 or reverse.
SR 229 Resurfacing
- SR 229 between U.S. 23 and the Village of Ashley will have various daytime lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) starting Monday, May 11 through Fall 2026.
I-71/U.S. 36/SR 37 Sunbury Parkway
- The I-71 northbound ramp to U.S. 36/SR 37 will be reduced to one lane starting Wednesday, April 8 through Fall 2026.
U.S. 23 Spot Pavement Repairs
- U.S 23 northbound between Hills Miller Rd and SR 229 will be reduced to one lane daily (7 p.m. – 3 p.m.) starting Monday, August 10th through Fall 2026
- U.S 23 southbound between Hills Miller Rd and SR 229 will be reduced to one lane daily (7 p.m. – 3 p.m.) starting Monday, August 10th through Fall 2026
FRANKLIN

I-270/I-71 Interchange Improvements
- The I-270 westbound ramp to I-71 southbound on the north side will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Wednesday, September 16 through Friday, September 18.
- Detour: I-71 northbound to Polaris Parkway to I-71 southbound
- The I-270 eastbound ramp to I-71 northbound on the north side will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Wednesday, September 16 through Thursday, September 17.
- Detour: I-270 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. to I-270 westbound to I-71 northbound
- I-71 northbound at I-270 on the north side will close overnight (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Wednesday, September 16 through Thursday, September 17.
- Detour: I-71 northbound to I-270 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. to I-270 westbound
- I-71 southbound at I-270 on the north side will be reduced to one lane overnight (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Thursday, September 17 through Friday, September 18.
I-71/Main St. Interchange Improvements
- The I-71 southbound ramp to Main St. will close starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 14.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to Spring St. to Broad St. to Parsons Ave. to Main St.
- I-71 southbound between E Town St. and Main St. will be reduced to two lanes starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 14.
- Main St. eastbound between Washington Ave. and Lester Drive will be reduced to one lane starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 14.
- The I-71 southbound ramp to Main St. will close overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Monday, September 14 through Saturday, September 19.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to Spring St. to Broad St. to Parsons Ave. to Main St.
I-270 Resurfacing
- The I-70 eastbound ramp to I-270 southbound on the east side will close starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 11 through 5. a.m. Monday, September 14.
- Detour: I-70 eastbound to Brice Rd. to I-70 westbound to I-270 southbound
- I-270 southbound between the I-70/I-270 interchange and the Norfolk Southern Railway Bridge will be reduced to two lanes starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 14.
I-670 Bridge Rehabilitation
- I-670 westbound between I-70 and Grandview Ave. will be reduced to one lane overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Friday, September 11 through Saturday, September 12.
- I-670 eastbound between Grandview Ave. I-70 will be reduced to one lane overnight (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Friday, September 11, through Saturday, September 12.
I-270/I-70 Interchange
- The I-70 eastbound ramp to I-270 northbound on the west side will close overnight (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Sunday, September 13.
- Detour: I-70 eastbound to Wilson Rd. to I-70 westbound to I-270 northbound
I-670 Spot Pavement Repairs
- I-670 eastbound between 5th Ave. and I-270 will have various lane restrictions starting 7 p.m. Friday, September 11 through 5 a.m. Monday, September 14.
- The 5th Ave. ramp to I-670 eastbound will close overnight (7 p.m. – 9 a.m.) Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12.
- Detour: 5th Ave. to I-670 westbound to Leonard Ave. to I-670 eastbound
U.S. 33/Petzinger Road Intersection Improvements
- U.S. 33 westbound between I-70 and SR 104 will have various overnight lane restrictions (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Monday, September 14 for 26 days
Continuing Impacts
I-270 Resurfacing
- I-270 between Alum Creek Dr. and I-70 on the southeast side will have various overnight lane restrictions (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Thursday, August 13th through Wednesday, September 30.
U.S. 33 Culvert Replacement
- U.S. 33 between Fishinger Rd. and SR 161 will close starting Monday, August 3 for 45 days.
- Detour: U.S. 33 to SR 161 to I-270 to Cemetery Rd./Fishinger Rd. or reverse.
I-70 Pavement Reconstruction
- I-70 westbound traffic will be shifted to the eastbound side of the roadway starting overnight Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction through Fall 2026.
Far East Freeway
- Brice Rd. over I-70 will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting Saturday, August 2, 2025. Two left turn lanes on Brice Rd. northbound to I-70 WB will be maintained.
