Because of the current health crisis, fewer people are relying on public transportation. As a result, Delaware County Transit has made two changes this week regarding ridership.

First, due to Green Route ridership decreasing 75% from last week, and COTA announcing that effective immediately they will be cutting routes, DCT has made the decision to temporarily suspend 3 of 6 Green routes that connect with COTA at Crosswoods Park-N-Ride. This change began on Monday morning.

Routes that were suspended are: 6:30 AM, 8:00 AM, and 4:22 PM. The remaining routes that will operate are: 5:30 AM, 3:22 PM, and 5:13 PM.

DCT continues to communicate with COTA during this State of Emergency, and once Governor DeWine announces the lift of the Emergency, all routes will resume.

Beginning on and through the emergency and until further notice, all DCT fares will be FREE for the general public within Delaware County. Riders must still call in advance before noon the previous weekday to request a Demand Response ride. Rides are as driver and vehicle availability permits.

All Delaware City routes will be reduced to 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM. This will allow for early shopping times for elderly set up by some stores.
