Delaware City Schools has officially opened registration for kindergarten students entering the 2025-2026 academic year. Families with children who will be five years old on or before August 1, 2025, are encouraged to begin the enrollment process as soon as possible. Those with younger children who meet specific criteria can explore the district’s early entrance program by visiting the Delaware City Schools website.

Kindergarten within the district is a full-day, five-day-a-week program, designed to provide a structured yet nurturing environment for Delaware’s youngest learners. Superintendent Heidi Kegley emphasized the district’s commitment to early childhood education, saying, “We are excited to welcome a new class of students and partner with families to ensure a smooth transition into their educational journey.”
