Commissioners Provide Update On Courthouse Renovation Project

In June 2019, Delaware County launched a construction project to preserve and renovate the Historic Courthouse.

Begun in 1868 and completed in 1869, this iconic structure at the northwest corner of North Sandusky Street and Central Avenue originally housed most of Delaware County’s elected officials and their staffs. The building was vacated in November 2017 when the offices working there (including the Court of Common Pleas and the Clerk of Courts) moved to the new Delaware County Courthouse complex at 117 N. Commissioners Approve $113 Million Budget For 2019

On Thursday, the Delaware County Board of Commissioners approved its budget for 2019. The $113,275,365 figure approved for General Fund expenditures increases operating expenditures by 4.3 percent over 2018 levels. This increase will allow for some modest increases in staffing and a 3.0 percent raise in salaries for non-union employees.
