For parents of middle and high school students, questions about the future often loom large. How can their child best prepare for college? What skills will they need to succeed in today’s workforce? The Delaware Area Career Center (DACC) is inviting families to find those answers through a series of upcoming Coffee Chats this October.
A Conversation About Possibilities
The Coffee Chats are designed for parents of students in grades 6 through 11 who want to learn more about the options available at DACC during high school. These informal sessions give parents a chance to hear how DACC equips students not just with classroom learning, but with experiences and credentials that carry weight after graduation.
Among the opportunities parents will hear about are:
- Earning college credits while still in high school
- Gaining industry-recognized credentials
- Exploring career paths before graduation
- Building resumes with real-world experiences
- Making professional connections that can open doors
Flexible Ways to Attend
Recognizing that families have busy schedules, DACC is offering both in-person and virtual Coffee Chat options. Parents can choose the date and format that works best for them:
- In-person: October 14 at 8:00 AM and October 16 at 6:00 PM
- Virtual: October 21 at 8:00 AM and October 23 at 6:00 PM
