During a virtual meeting on Wednesday evening, the Planning Commission for the City of Delaware held a public hearing to consider proposals by Gosula Holdings, LTD for a new commercial building at the Delaware Square Shopping Center.

After the conclusion of the hearing, the Commission unanimously granted approval for both a drive-thru Conditional Use Permit as well as a Combined Preliminary and Final Development Plan for the 0.605 acre site.

The developer plans to construct the building on an outparcel at 1163 Columbus Pike at the former Jiffy Lube location. Access will be from the main entrance of Delaware Square Shopping Center, with two curb cuts from the Shopping Center access road.

The building will be 3,276 square feet in size and would include a drive thru, and would be oriented toward Columbus Pike. Exterior finishes would include brick, Sandusky Shore Limestone wainscoting, and stucco on one facade.

Staff recommended approval with several conditions involving landscaping, dumpsters, and parking.
