In a Thursday story by Columbus Dispatch reporter Mark Williams, the paper reported that recent years have seen a strong increase in the number of business locations in Ohio, but also that those locations are shifting to suburban locations.

In other words, the growth of suburban and exurban areas continues, particularly in those counties surrounding Columbus.

This comes as no news to Delaware Countians.

In fact, the Dispatch also shared that Delaware County actually posted a 129% increase in businesses since 2001, the largest increase of Ohio’s 88 counties.

The Dispatch story can be read here on the website of the Akron Beacon Journal.

Delaware County and City maintain aggressive economic and business development programs. The County’s Economic Development office has a comprehensive site for prospective business owners, featuring resources on financing, finding employees, navigating local government and utilities, finding properties, and the advantages of a Delaware County business location.

That County site can be found here.
