Applications are now open for Leadership Delaware, one of the most sought-after programs for emerging leaders in the region. Offered through the Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce, this prestigious nine-month experience takes participants beyond the surface of community life to explore the challenges, strengths, and opportunities that define Delaware County.

A Behind-the-Scenes Pass to Community Impact

Held one full day each month from September through May, Leadership Delaware offers more than professional development—it’s a transformational journey. Participants meet key decision-makers, visit places not typically open to the public, and examine critical issues in areas like education, government, health care, infrastructure, and nonprofit service. Even lifelong Delaware County residents leave the program with a new and deeper understanding of their community.

Built for Leaders, Backed by Community

Since 1992, nearly 1,000 alumni have graduated from the program, many of whom now serve in leadership roles across the county. The program thrives thanks to dedicated volunteers, community partners, and strong support from the local business community. It’s not just about education—it’s about connection, action, and legacy.

Introducing Leadership Delaware 2.0

New for 2025 is Leadership Delaware 2.0, a next-level experience crafted exclusively for alumni of the original program. Designed to deepen alumni engagement and leadership impact, 2.0 offers advanced programming, ongoing networking, and a fresh look at the evolving needs of the community.
