In just a few weeks, Sandusky Street will once again rumble with the sound of engines as the Performance Charity Car Show returns to historic downtown Delaware. On Saturday, October 11, the city will host one of Central Ohio’s largest and most colorful automotive events, drawing enthusiasts and families from across the region.

From 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, downtown will be packed with more than 500 vehicles spanning decades of design and performance. Classic cars, collector vehicles, muscle cars, trucks, motorcycles, and even the occasional boat will line the street, turning the city center into a rolling museum of automotive history. Spectators can begin exploring the show at 9:00 AM, once registration wraps up for participants.

Activities Beyond the Cars

While the vehicles are the stars of the day, there’s plenty more to enjoy. Live music, raffles, food vendors, and family-friendly games will fill the sidewalks. The farmers’ market will also be open, giving visitors even more reasons to linger downtown. Local shops, restaurants, and bars will welcome visitors, and with the city’s DORA district in place, adult beverages from participating businesses can be carried outdoors within the designated area.

Registration and Awards

For those eager to enter their vehicle, pre-registration is open online at performancecharitycarshow.com for $25 per car until the Thursday before the show at 5:00 PM. Day-of registration is available for $40 if space remains. The show features more than 100 awards, making it a competitive yet welcoming event for all makes, models, and years.

Supporting a Local Cause

More than just a celebration of cars, the event also supports a local mission. Proceeds benefit IMPACT60, a Delaware County-based charity that invests in community initiatives and encourages residents to give 60 minutes of volunteer service each week.

Plan Your Visit

The Performance Charity Car Show takes place rain or shine, with only severe weather leading to cancellation. Restrooms and spectator parking are available, ensuring visitors can settle in for a full day of fun.

For Delaware, the event has become a fall tradition—part car culture, part community festival, and part charitable drive. Whether you’re a gearhead, a casual admirer, or just looking for a lively way to spend a Saturday, this show offers something for everyone.
