Boardman Arts Park in Delaware is welcoming May with two community events that bring together spring flowers, outdoor music, local food, and a little seasonal whimsy.
The month’s lineup includes a Mother’s Day weekend plant-and-beverage event on Saturday, May 9, followed two weeks later by an outdoor Tom Petty tribute concert featuring Full Moon Fever.
Brews & Blooms
The Park will start the month with Brews & Blooms, a morning event designed as a relaxed outing for mothers, families, and anyone looking to enjoy spring at the Park.
Set for Saturday, May 9 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the event will feature coffee brews, plant blooms, and mimosas. Admission is free, with plants and beverages available for purchase. Guests may pre-purchase flower baskets and plants ahead of time or shop during the event. Sunny Sips will be on site with coffee, matcha, smoothie, and refresher selections available for purchase. Planned menu items include lavender matcha or latte, lavender lemonade, strawberry milk latte, and a cherry blossom refresher, though drink options are subject to change. The Park will also be selling mimosas.

Full Moon Fever Concert
Later in the month, Boardman Arts Park will turn up the volume with Full Moon Fever, Ohio’s premier Tom Petty tribute band.
The concert is set for Saturday, May 23. Doors open at 5:00 PM, with the band taking the stage at 6:30 PM. Guests are encouraged to bring a chair, gather friends, and enjoy an evening of classic Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers favorites. Advance tickets are $20, with day-of tickets priced at $25. Children 12 and under are admitted free, and volunteers also receive free admission.
Food trucks scheduled for the evening include Schmidt’s Sausage Truck and The Backstretch. The bar will be open with beer, wine, bourbon, hard seltzer, pop, and water available.

VIP Seating Available
VIP seating for the Full Moon Fever concert is available for purchase through May 13. A two-person VIP package is $130 and includes two seats at a VIP table, heavy appetizers, hors d’oeuvres and dessert served promptly at 5:30 PM, and one drink ticket per seat.
A full VIP table package is $500 and includes seating for eight, heavy appetizers, hors d’oeuvres and dessert, and one drink ticket per seat. A sponsored table package is $800 and includes a reserved table with sponsor sign, a stage shoutout, social media shoutouts from the Arts Park, eight VIP seats, heavy appetizers, hors d’oeuvres and dessert, two drink tickets per seat, and one Whimsy Champagne Bottle.

Together, the two events offer different ways to enjoy Boardman Arts Park as the season shifts into warmer weather: one with plants, morning drinks, and Mother’s Day weekend charm, the other with food trucks, friends, and a soundtrack of familiar rock favorites under the evening sky.
