The 2024 funding applications for community programs catering to Delaware County residents aged 55 and up will soon be available. SourcePoint awards funding annually to local organizations that help meet the diverse needs of the county’s older population.

Nonprofit and government organizations interested in applying for funding can access the application on June 2 at MySourcePoint.org/grants. All applications must be submitted electronically by the end of the day on July 17.

An intent to apply statement should be sent to Jackie Haight, the age-friendly coordinator, at jhaight@mysourcepoint.org or by calling 740.203.2435 by Friday, May 19.

The organization efficiently funds existing programs in the county as a cost-effective way to address the various needs of older adults in the community. Every year, SourcePoint’s board of directors and other community stakeholders review grant applications and award funding to organizations that expand the range of services available to local seniors. The Delaware County senior services levy enables this grant funding.

SourcePoint functions as the premier provider of aging services in Delaware County, Ohio. Focusing on adults aged 55 and older, they offer an array of in-home care services, such as Meals on Wheels and personal care, to assist seniors in preserving their independence at home. Moreover, they organize numerous community programs at their enrichment center and various off-site venues throughout the county, advocating for health and wellness among older adults and caregivers.
