The Locust Table, a well known fast-casual neighborhood café at 16 Crossing St, known for its fresh, locally sourced breakfast and lunch offerings, is now serving dinner Wednesday through Sunday from 5 to 9 PM.

Since its opening, The Locust Table has built a strong following for its made-from-scratch dishes, including customer favorites like the House Made Chicken Salad Sandwich, Short Rib on Cheesy Polenta Cakes, and Thai Peanut Quinoa Bowl. The café is also known for its friendly atmosphere, quick service, and brunch cocktails. However, it has received mixed feedback on pricing and limited drink options. Now, the expansion into dinner service aims to bring a new culinary experience to Powell diners.

A Fresh Take on Dinner in Powell

Under the leadership of Chef Mike Gadd, The Locust Table’s dinner menu features elevated dishes like Hanger Steak with fingerling potatoes and demi-glace and a rotating fresh-made pasta special. For those looking for familiar favorites, the Smoked Turkey Club and Thai Peanut Quinoa Bowl remain on the menu.

Diners can also indulge in house-made desserts, including a seasonal streusel, dark chocolate & olive oil mousse, or a gooey butter oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwich with house-made jasmine green tea ice cream.

To complement the expanded menu, new dinner cocktails include:

  • Elderflower 75
  • Spiced Pear Highball
  • Eagle Eye Cherry
  • Blueberry & Pine Old Fashioned

Neighborhood Favorite Grows with the Community

The Locust Table’s shift into evening service is a natural evolution for the café, which has already established itself as a go-to spot for breakfast and lunch in Powell. While outdoor seating is available, the café has noted that bees can sometimes be a nuisance for outdoor diners.

With a focus on quality ingredients and a warm, inviting space, the addition of dinner service allows Powell residents to experience The Locust Table after dark, bringing a casual yet refined dining experience to the community.

For those looking to try this new offering, reservations are not required, making it easy to stop by for an evening meal.
