District Leadership Responds
District Chief Academic Officer Dr. Michelle Blackley praised the recognition, noting the district’s ability to maintain strong results despite rapid growth.
“Olentangy Schools takes pride in the breadth of opportunities available to students, the personal achievements of our staff and students, and our unwavering commitment to academic excellence,” Blackley said. “Sustaining high academic rankings while experiencing exponential enrollment growth underscores our commitment.”
Superintendent Todd R. Meyer credited the district’s success to a strong foundation built in the early grades.
“The work begins in our elementary schools and continues through middle school, creating a strong foundation for success at all four of our high schools,” Meyer said. “State and national recognition affirms the dedication of our teachers and administrators to maximizing learning for every student and ensures that our graduates are well prepared for the future.”
How the Rankings Were Determined
The U.S. News review assessed 903 Ohio high schools. Six weighted factors determined placement: college readiness, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth, and graduation rates.
For Olentangy, the results reinforce both consistency and ambition, positioning the district as one of central Ohio’s leaders in education.
